Animal Lore is used to check the statistics of monsters and pets, and to increase the chance that your pets will listen to your commands. Until 80.0 Animal Lore, you may only check the statistics of your own pets.

At 80.0 Animal Lore and 80.0 Veterinary, you have a chance to resurrect a dead bonded pet.

Having skill in both Animal Lore and Veterinary increases the number of pets you can keep in the stables at one time.

Training Animal Lore

The easiest way to train Animal Lore is to use it repeatedly on any tamed pet you own, from 0.0 to Grandmaster.

Animal Lore skill level has no impact on training Animal Taming. Because of this, you may wish to macro Animal Lore beforehand in order to make newly tamed creatures respond more reliably to your release command.
