When Angel Island was first conceptualized back in the early 2000s, Adam Ant envisioned a prison system which would replace the notorious time-sink we UO players know as “stat-loss.” His proposal was widely met with critical acclaim within the community. Townships

Townships were added to Angel Island as part of the 2020 re-launch and allow guilds to build and defend their own towns within the game. They are linked to the moongate and are even labeled on the World Map.
