Camping is a non-difficulty based straight skill check. This allows you to log out anywhere you are as if you were inside an inn or your own house.

You need kindling which is a 0.0 skill check and you get it through the carpentry/bowcraft menu. It can also be obtained by double clicking a bladed object and targeting any tree.

Just use the kindling and it will prompt a camping skill check and after a few seconds you will get a message saying your camp is secured and you are ready to log out. If you get another message you failed the skill check.
