General Information

On Angel Island, town guards are able to assist players with directions using artificial intelligence derived from the immersive Intelligent Dialogue System. Whether it’s simple directions to the nearest shop or map coordinates of the local moongate, members of the town guard are always happy to help.

Perhaps you’re in need of some gold and wish to escourt a seeker of adventure to a dungeon. Try speaking about it with a guard. They should be able to help you locate such a person based on their profession, and even give directions to the nearest dungeon.

Upon your return to town, you may need to find a place to resupply. Just ask a guard where to find whatever you need, and they should be able to help you find it.

Curious about whether or not a town you’re traveling to has a certain shop or not? Simply ask a guard, and they should be able to tell you and even give you directions if so.

Regardless of whether you are the most seasoned veteran, or the newest player on the shard, everyone should be able to find this system useful throughout their day to day activities.

Directions

The following is a short list of examples that members of the town guard will respond to. If you are not getting a response, try saying the guards name as part of your query. This is necessary whenever other players are also standing nearby, or some NPCs such as bankers.

You’ll also notice from the examples that your spelling doesn’t need to be perfect in order for you to be understood. Guards on Angel Island use “fuzzy” language processing to determine your meaning.

Examples:

People

  • Where might I find the thief guildmaster?
  • Where might I find the blacksmith in Minoc?
  • Where is the nearest healer?
  • where is the provisioner
  • where is the provisionir

Places

  • where might I find the rusty anchir
  • docks
  • Buccaneers Den docks
  • Jhelom docks
  • Magincia docks

Things

  • where might I find the yew moongate
  • where might I find the yew moon gate
  • moongate
  • yew moongate
  • where might I find Arms of the Bone Magi
  • Arms of the Bone Magi
  • strength potion
  • iron ingots
  • name change deed
