Mace Fighting is the skill you need in order to wield bashing weapons, such as a club or staff properly in battle.
Wands are also part of this group, although you do not need any weapon skill to use the magic of a wand.
Mace Fighters with 80+ anatomy and at least 15 mana can use Crushing Blow. It deals 150% damage for one swing. Crushing Blow can be hotkey'd in Razor with the Toggle Disarm (Pre-AOS) command.
Note that the only Macing weapon with crushing blow is the Warhammer.
Training Mace Fighting
It is good to use either a wand or shepherds crook when training Mace Fighting. Simply hire a fighter hireling from J'helom pits, then heal and bash them repeatedly with a Mace until GM.
